5 Reasons Why You Should Stay At Anga Afrika

Here at Anga Afrika we always try to challenge the status quo and provide a unique experience to our guests. So to give you a little overview we thought we would list the 5 most important reasons why you should let us be a part of your holiday experience 🙂

1) We’re In Nairobi, But Then Again Not Really…

If you have been to Nairobi before, you know that this city can be a handful to deal with. As in many other big cities, it can be stressful to get around, especially during rush hour times. Anga Afrika is located in Karen, a neighbourhood in Nairobi. Due to it’s rural feel and vast ecological environment it provides the ideal nature setting to sit back and take it all in without any interruptions or traffic noises.
Anga Afrika, though it doesn’t seem like it at first glance on google maps, is very centrally located. With the recently built bypass, which almost connects you directly to Mombasa Road, it only takes you roughly 25-35 mins to get to the airport at any time of the day.

Fantastic place nicely set back from hectic Nairobi. Great tents with relaxed atmosphere around the campfire. Wifi was the fastest I encountered in Kenya and staff was equally fast, helpful and friendly. The food is great, the half board option is recommendable.

2) It’s Your Home Away From Home

Anga Afrika is a small, serene and hidden place within Karen. We aren’t a big hotel, but would rather classify us in the luxury/boutique BnB category. With only 6 luxury tents we provide a personal and intimate environment where you can be yourself every step of the way. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be prepared at your convenience, which means you don’t have to adhere to rigid meal times. We offer many different cuisines, but while you’re here why not try some of the local specialities, which our chefs Alfred and Jared and more than happy to prepare for you! Furthermore, if you spontaneously feel that you’d like to go exploring through Nairobi and visit some of the attractions, Paul our driver/tour guide will be delighted to show you around.

3) Our Lovely Doggies!

Who doesn’t love dogs? We’re sure there’s that one cat person thinking “uhmm, me?”, however with ours we’re sure you’re going to make an exception! 🙂 Consisting of golden retrievers, springer spaniels and a few mixed breeds they are the perfect family dogs with whom everyone enjoys playing with. As long as you have a stick, Carrie, our golden retriever in particular, will be your best friend.

4) It’s The Perfect Safari Stopover

As we’re located in Karen, close to all major attractions such as the Giraffe Center, David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Nairobi National Park and Karen Blixen Museum we are the perfect place to start off your safari. Most of our guests go on to drive to Amboseli National Park or Masai Mara, which you can reach either by car or by plane. Either way, Anga Afrika’s location allows you to easily connect to Wilson Airport (where most of the flights to Mara depart from) our major highways leading to all major national Parks.

5) The People

One thing that all guests of Anga Afrika have in common is the love for Kenya and its natural environment. We get a wide array of guests from single travelers and couples to large families. Since everyone who stays at Anga has a very similar mindset, it always ensures positives vibes throughout the camp. Seeing the degree to which our guests enjoy our space is probably the most rewarding feeling, which fills us with enormous motivation and gratitude!
