Our Support For The Inua Mimi Rescue Center

“One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.” - Malala Yousafzai

About Inua Mimi

Inua mimi is the swahili word for “lift me up”. Paschalia Nduku (Shosho) started the center 16 years ago as a single mother and a bread winner to 8 children. She passed through hard times bringing up her own children but through this she knew she had the power and courage to raise even more with her warm loving heart.

The center is home to more than 60 children who are rescued from communities which face tribalism, child abandonment, early marriage, female genital mutilation, poverty and more. It provides shelter, a safe space to live and play and basic education. Creative talents such as photography, dancing and singing are also developed in the center.

The money of this fundraiser will be used to hire a full time teacher for at least 1 year as well as for general supplies such as food and clothing.
